Why was this happening again? He was in the middle of a small crowd, getting punched, kicked, beat and bruised any way they could think of to hurt him.
"Get him good, boys! We'll teach this demon his place!" Said the leader of the gang. He had long black hair and was a paladin.
After he passed out and did not defend himself, he lay there, waiting for them to leave. After the gang had beat him, they laughed, feeling proud of what they did and left him for dead. As they left, he got to his feet, brushed himself off and started to walk outside of Silvermoon City. Once outside, he sat on a bench alone and away from everyone else, sniffling and in tears. He had blood on his lip, cuts and bruises visible on his face.
"Every day, the same thing. Why can't they pick on someone else?" He whispered through his tears. "What did I ever do to anyone to deserve this?"
Sitting there, shaking, he was afraid to face his parents, but knew he'd eventually have to. He remained there on the bench until he calmed himself, wiping tears quietly from his face. What was he going to do? How would his mother and father react this time? Would anyone be his friend, lover or even want to be around him because of his heritage?
"Forget it, Yomurai.." He shook his head, still whispering out loud to himself. "You're not meant to be alive anymore. Maybe I should have let them kill me." He covered his face, sobbing, not wanting to move from where he was on the bench.
He was walking along the road that led outside the city, a book in one hand and holding onto the straps a bag with the other. He looked out of the corner of his eye as he walked past the benches, seeing a young man that had been badly beaten. He marked his current page and stuffed it into the bag, walking over to where the other man sat.
“Hey, are you alright?” he asked in a concerned tone. He looked over the wounds as he spoke, seeing that they weren’t fatal, but did need to be treated. He also did notice that this boy was in tears.
The boy quietly nodded, blinking as the stranger took care of his wounds. He wasn't sure on what to do or say, but it was clear he was afraid to even speak. After a moment or so, he finally broke his silence, his voice shy and soft.
"I...I think so...th-thank you..." He said to the stranger.
He didn’t take very long to treat the wounds; they were minor for the most part and didn’t need much to be treated. He could tell there was something different about this boy, something out of the ordinary that he just couldn’t put his finger on. It made him start to grow fond of him, he had to admit. Even now, having barely even known this boy, he could feel an unnatural attraction.
He didn’t say anything on the matter. As soon as he finished, he stood upright again, keeping a fair distance as he looked down at him. “You suffer a lot from beating, don’t you?” He realized the question probably wouldn’t be addressed, shaking his head and pulling his book back out of the bag. “Nevermind. Forgive me for intruding on your privacy. I’ll leave you now.”
The boy looked up at him, his eyes an unusual shade of green. He watched him as he suddenly jumped off the bench.
"Wait, please, don't go..." He said in a sudden soft tone. "Why...why did you...help me? Normally, everyone just walks by me." He questioned him, suddenly realizing what he said. He lowered his head as tears filled into his eyes. He couldn't believe he just asked a stranger about helping him. What was this feeling that was building up inside of him?
"My...my name is Yomurai Frostmoon...I...I didn't mean to be rude...I'm sorry." Yomurai kept his head low, also keeping his distance, waiting to see if he'd get beat on, waiting for the response.
He turned back around, a finger keeping place of his current page. He could still see the tears in Yomurai’s eyes, feeling horrible for him inside. “Lets just say I’m one of those people who’s a bit more out of the ordinary, a person that doesn’t like to kick a guy while he’s down. I can see you’re having more than your fair share of bad luck, why should I abuse that any further by acting like the rest of those bastards?”
He shrugged, looking back at the page of his book. “I’m the kind of person that likes to help people over making them miserable.”
"No one has ever been really nice to me before. Honestly, I thought you were going to hit me at first, but you surprised me. It's an everyday thing, and there are these guys, a gang of them, they beat on me every day." Yomurai turned his head away, trying to hide his tears.
He turned away, getting ready to walk away. He kept his head low as he sat back down on the bench, becoming quiet. It was clear he had no friends and only his family.
After marking his page and once again stuffing the book into its bag, he walked over to Yomurai and lifted his chin. “In any case, I guess you could say I’m not one to let someone get hurt if I can do anything to stop it. Tell you what, if those thugs come after you again, just come find me and I’ll take care of them for you.”
He wiped the tears from Yomurai’s cheeks, smiling at him reassuringly. These were dangerous fantasies he was simulating through his mind, but he wasn’t afraid to let them run their course if it was something he could possibly enjoy for himself. He stood upright again. “I have an apartment in Fairbreeze Village. If you get any more trouble, don’t hesitate to give a knock at my door.”
Yomurai looked at him, blinking. "But why? You barely know me. I don't want anyone innocent or not to be involved."
He was having these strange feeling building up inside of him despite the beatings he took, but when he looked at the stranger, his face started to turn a slight shade of red under his tears.
Shaking his head no, he got up from where he was sitting, trying to walk away back to the city. "I…I'm sorry...I can't let you get involved. It's my problem, and if it kills me...then...that is a risk I am going to have to take."
He gently grabbed Yomurai by the arm as he came close enough to try and pass him. He looked down at him with honest eyes. “I’m no weakling, and I’m not the kind of person to leave anyone, even somebody I barely know, in the dark. Thus the reason why I’m asking you, if you need any help at all with these bastards that are beating at you, call for me. Nobody deserves to be as horribly mistreated as you, I don‘t care what their reason is for it. Doing something this cruel to anyone shouldn’t go unpunished. Besides, I’m sure there’s someone that wouldn’t want to lose you, so don’t start thinking that something as precious as your life is something worth risking.”
He let go of Yomurai’s arm, watching, waiting to see what he would do.
Yomurai stood there, not looking at him. "I don't have any friends." Was all he could say. He kept his back turned toward the stranger, becoming quiet and still.
After a few minutes, he looked back at the man. "I don't know your name, and honestly I could use a friend, that is if the offer is still there if I do need any help."
He nodded. “Like I said, if you ever need a hand with anything, whether it’s those damn thugs or just to talk as a friend, don’t hesitate to come to me.”
He pulled out a piece of paper and a pen, using his book as a hard surface to write down his address. “My apartment is at the top of the inn at Fairbreeze Village, here’s the room number. If you can’t find it, just ask one of the innkeepers for Jastinil Winterblade, they’ll bring you right up.”
Jastinil handed Yomurai the paper after he finished writing his name and room number, then opened his book again and started walking back down the road.
Yomurai looked down at the paper, reading the address and then back up, watching him walk away. After a few minutes, he shook his head and put the paper in his robe’s pocket. Suddenly seeing the sun starting to set, he gasped, knowing his parents would be worried about him if it got too late. Running into the city, he ran straight home.
Once at home, he opened the door slowly, trying to walk quietly to his room. What he didn't know was his father was walking down the stairs.
"Yomurai? Is everything alright?" His father asked.
Yomurai nodded, using his usual soft tone of voice. "Yes, father, I'm alright."
His father was Asche Frostmoon. He walked over to his son, lifting his chin. "Let me guess, they beat on you again? What did you do this time, son?"
Yomurai looked at his father, the truth in his eyes. "Nothing, father. I know how my power can be. I won't use it unless I have to."
Asche sighed, calling for his wife. "Joheanna, love? Could you come here a moment please?"
He stood there, keeping his head low. Yomurai knew he was in for it when his father called for his mother.
"Did someone treat your wounds already, Yomurai?" Asche asked him.
"Yes, papa. His name was Jastinil Winterblade." He answered in a soft tone. "He told me if I needed anything, I could go visit him."
His father nodded. "It's about time you made a friend, my son. Let your mother look at you when she gets here, alright?"
Yomurai answered him with a slight nod. "Yes, papa."
Joheanna came down the stairs, looking first at her husband, then over at her son. “Oh, honey, not again,” she sighed as she approached the two.
She looked over the wounds, seeing that they had already been treated. “Well, at least those have already been taken care of. Come on, might as well see what I can do about your bruises.”
Joheanna led her son up the stairs to his room, sitting him down on the bed as she looked over the bruises. It didn’t take her long before she pulled a bottle of ointment out of her apron pocket, starting to apply it to Yomurai’s bruises. “I can’t believe this is happening again. I suppose our family has never gotten along well with the Blood Knights, but I guess that’s mostly my fault.”
Yomurai sat there quietly. He kept to himself about having feelings toward Jastinil, but wanted to find out for himself why he was.
"Mama?" He questioned her. "How do you know when you have fallen in love with someone?"
His face was a bright shade of red, but his eyes had shown he was determined to know. He was curious, but for the sanity of his new found friend, he didn't want to say it was another guy he had fallen for.
Joheanna fell still for a moment, looking up at her son in surprise. After a moment, she went back to treating Yomurai’s bruises and answered. “When you’re in love, it’s just the most wonderful, indescribable feeling when you’re around the person you care for. It’s not easy to explain exactly how it feels, it’s different for everyone, but you’ll know it when you have it.”
She finished the treatment, recapping the bottle and slipping it back into her apron pocket. She stood up, still looking down at him. “Out of curiosity, why do you ask?”
Yomurai shrugged slightly. "Just curious, mom."
He seemed a bit tired as he looked up at his mother. His eyes told her he had fallen for someone, but was not saying who. "I'm just a little tired, mama. I think...I'm going to go ahead and go to bed."
Laying back on his bed, he laid on his side, turning away from her and staring at the wall. Would he be able to admit he fell for another guy? Would his mom and dad understand? He knew that tomorrow he would go visit Jastinil and see if the feelings were the same when he was in his presence. Sleep finally won over him as he lay there, seeming calm and peaceful.
Asche waited downstairs in the kitchen until Joheanna came down to him.
Joheanna could tell her son had fallen for someone, but left the subject be. She threw the covers over Yomurai and walked back downstairs to the kitchen. She untied her apron and set it back on its usual hanger. She looked up at Asche.
“Yomurai should be fine for now,” she told him, “he’s sleeping now and I took care of the bruises.”
"Good to hear, love. I hope this problem of his stops. I will talk to my father and see if we can get someone to watch over him in secret so he doesn't wind up dead on us." Asche said, walking over and embracing Joheanna. "We should just let him rest for now."
The next morning, Yomurai decided to try and take a walk, and perhaps go visit Jastinil. On his was outside of the city, a sudden punching to his face came as Soubai, a Blood Knight, came up from behind him and knocking him to the ground.
"You have no right walking these streets, demon. Get out of this city before I kill you myself." Soubai was the dark haired paladin. He was the leader of the gang that beat up on Yomurai.
"No. I won't, and if it's a fight you're looking for, well you're looking in the wrong place. I won't fight you, Soubai. I have no reason to." Yomurai said as he sat on his hands and knees, coughing out some blood from his mouth. "Why can't you find someone else to torment? Why does it have to be me every day?"
Soubai smirked, kicking him in the ribs. "Be silent, demon! You have no right to even speak our language."
Yomurai finally got the wind knocked out of him, laying there for a few minutes as he waited for him to leave. Once he was gone, he got back up to his feet, gripping his dagger as he bolted out of the city, not even noticing if anyone was sitting where he was yesterday. He finally came to a stop near a big tree near the pond, sliding down with his back against the tree in tears. He was sitting there, frightened and gripping his dagger tightly in self defense. If anyone saw him, would they help him or beat on him again?
It was about this time that Jastinil came walking down the road as usual. It didn’t take him very long to notice Yomurai sitting by a tree just a few paces off. He ran over to him, kneeling down beside him. “They got a hold of you again, huh?’
He started to tend to Yomurai’s wounds just like the day before, keeping quiet all the while. If this was going to continue, he wasn’t going to stand for it. He knew inside what his fantasies were being caused from, he knew that he loved Yomurai.
Once he finished tending to the wounds, Jastinil helped Yomurai to his feet, looking around the plains angrily. “Where are these guys? They deserve to get their asses handed to them for this, and I’m not taking no for an answer on trying to help you.”
Yomurai was still shaking, finally dropping his dagger and collapsing into tears in Jastinil's arms. He was shaking so badly that he couldn't even speak until he calmed himself.
"I...I last saw him...in the Bazaar of Silvermoon City. His...name is Soubai, a black haired Blood Knight." His face was buried in Jastinil's chest as he finally spoke, still shaking. "I…I was coming to see you...and he attacked me from behind..."
Jastinil tightly embraced Yomurai, looking down at him lovingly. “You’re going to be alright now, Yomurai. Let me take you back to my place and I’ll take care of this guy for you.”
He kept an arm wrapped around Yomurai as he led him back to his apartment, helping him inside and to a nearby table. “Just make yourself comfortable, alright? I’ll see about taking care of Soubai and come back when I’m done. I won’t be long, so just hang out here until I come back.”
He let go of Yomurai, turning to walk back out the door.
Yomurai blinked, still wiping some tears from his face. He couldn't believe it. He did have feelings toward Jastinil, but why?
Standing in the Bazaar was the same guy that Yomurai described; a Blood Knight with long black hair. The gang stood there, laughing and carrying on before Soubai stepped away from the group.
"Free drinks on me, boys. I'll go get them!" Soubai started toward the inn, keeping focused on wanting to get the drinks to his buddies.
Jastinil had been waiting in stealth for Soubai to be caught off guard and on his own. Now that he had him alone in the inn, he came out of the shadows, blocking off the exit.
“So you’re Soubai, huh?” He glared, arms folded across his chest. “You don’t look as tough as I would’ve expected. No wonder you need to beat up on some innocent guy so badly then have to gloat to all your friends just to show off your fat ass ego.”
He grabbed the Blood Knight by the collar of his shirt, pinning him against the far wall and glaring at him angrily. “Give me one damn good reason why I shouldn’t beat the shit out of you, you goddamn son of a bitch.”
"Hey man...what are you talking about?" Soubai smirked slyly. "What is it to you?"
Soubai looked at him, glaring at Jastinil. Giving a swift kick to the ribs, he tried to knock Jastinil away from him. "Give me one good reason I shouldn't arrest you for assaulting a Blood Knight?"
Yomurai sat in Jastinil's apartment, waiting patiently. "I sure hope Jastinil is alright.." He sighed, speaking out loud to himself.
Jastinil smirked when Soubai kicked his ribs, not even flinching. “You think that bothers me? Please, with the training I do, something as feeble as your kick is just a walk in the park. And another thing…”
His smirk faded, replaced by an angry growl as he tossed Soubai across the room and into the other wall. “Like what you’re doing to Yomurai isn’t just as bad as what I’m doing to you! You think you’re so tough just because you earned the title of Blood Knight? Guess again, bitch! You don’t have any more right to beat him than any other living being. You don’t have immunity from treating somebody with the respect they deserve, not if they don’t even lift a finger to you despite how badly you torture them!”
Jastinil pulled out his knife, walking over to Soubai and lifting him up by the throat. “You understand?! Give me one goddamn reason why you think he deserves the shit you put him through every day!”
"So that's what this is all about. He couldn't fight his own battle so he hired some hot shot rogue to do his dirty work, did he? Well, why don't you tell that demon boy to learn to fight on his own and grow a spine instead of being so spineless." Soubai grinned, not even phased by his threats.
Soubai kept the smirk on his face. "And tossing me around just makes me stronger and want to kick your ass, you dirty good for nothing rogue. I follow that of the Light, and no demon from the Legion or not deserves to be alive in this time and city."
Jastinil had heard enough, his rage boiling over. “You think I’m that easy to convince? You think I’m doing this for money? Damn wrong! I’m doing this for the sake of a good person with a kind enough heart to spare you and your damn crew a fight. And I don’t care if he’s a demon or not, there’s nothing stopping this so called ‘good for nothing hot shot’ from kicking your ass!”
Now he did more than just talk the talk. He started to act just as he said and pleased; kicking, punching, tossing here and slamming there. He finished off his torture with a good clean slice to Soubai’s shoulder, purposefully missing areas more vital.
Jastinil growled, “Let this be a warning to the lot of you! If I even see so much as a bruise on Yomurai after this, I won’t be so merciful about sparing your pathetic life! Now, get out of my sight, and let your entire crew of pansies know that they’ll have me to deal with from now on for their actions!!”
Soubai glared at him. "You damn well know I will get you for this, you ungrateful rogue." He walked out the inn, his hand on his shoulder, covered in blood.
Yomurai remained waiting in his apartment, keeping quiet. He had not budged from the seat he was in when Jastinil left let him. He hoped he was alright and he was starting to worry about him.
Sighing softly, he got up from his seat, walking over to a near by window, looking out of it.
"How can I tell him? Will he even believe me?" He whispered out loud to himself, and almost loud enough for anyone around to hear him.
Jastinil disappeared from the inn, a prideful grin on his face. “Fool, you’ll never find me if you don’t know my name, and I’m not stupid enough to let you get a hold of anything that will lead you to me. A rogue to a fox, and this fox is outta here.”
It didn’t take him very long to get back to his apartment, using the key to get in and locking the door behind him once he was inside. He brushed himself off, looking up at Yomurai. “Sorry for the wait. The bastard took a little longer than I expected. Either way, I think I still managed to teach him a thing or two about showing other people some proper respect.”
Yomurai didn't turn to look at him, his eyes a demonic red and his teeth made of fangs. "It's alright...Thank you for letting me stay. I...I don't know why, but I just had to come visit you, Jastinil."
Keeping his face turned toward the window, Yomurai rubbed his left arm slightly. His voice was a bit deeper than before as he shivered.
"What did you do to Soubai? I saw him come past here, holding his shoulder. Please tell me he is still going to live? I know he hurt me a lot and tortured me, but I can't take an innocent life." Yomurai shook his head, keeping his focus on looking out the window. "Besides, I...I have a small confession to make, Jastinil, and I...I'm sorry if this offends you, but I think that I have fallen in love with you and your kindness towards me."
Yomurai stood there waiting on a response, keeping his head turned away from Jastinil, looking like he wanted to say more but was a bit hesitant to do so. Will he still like me after what I just said, or like me after he finds out I'm a half demon? He thought to himself, waiting for any reaction from Jastinil.
Jastinil smiled at Yomurai, walking over behind him and pulling him into a loving embrace. He set his head on Yomurai’s shoulder as he answered, “Truth be told, I’ve fallen for you as well, since I first saw you sitting on that bench by yourself.”
He lifted Yomurai’s chin to look at him, still smiling when he saw the demonic eyes and fangs. “I don’t care what your heritage is, be it demonic, regular Blood Elf, or anywhere in between; I still love you more than anyone else I can think of.”
Jastinil stroked Yomurai’s cheek lovingly, gently turning him around and leaning in until their foreheads were pressed together. “I wouldn’t worry so much about Soubai either, love. The worst he got was a cut to the shoulder, nothing fatal at all. Other than that, it was just a few bruises, though I did warn him he will get off much worse if he ever bothers you again.”
He kissed Yomurai’s lips deeply, tightening his embrace around him. “Enough about him for now. I’ve already treated your wounds and you’re welcome to stay for as long as you’d like.”
Yomurai blinked at Jastinil, seeming oddly surprised that he felt the same. "You'd let me stay, even though you know what kind of a burden I can be sometimes?"
He stood there, still looking surprised at Jastinil. He couldn't believe what he heard, but he knew he was not dreaming.
"Me being a half demon, Jas...it's why Soubai's gang beat on me. I know I have the power to protect myself, but it is also dangerous." His voice was almost a whisper as he started to tear up. "Thank you for everything."
Yomurai finally embraced Jastinil, laying his head on his shoulder. He waited to see what Jastinil's reaction would be as he looked back up, kissing him lovingly on the lips.
Jastinil smiled down at Yomurai, returning his kiss before speaking again. “I don’t find you a burden at all, it actually gives me something to do, seeing as I live by myself. And it’s like I told you already, I still love you no matter what you are, and Soubai and his gang don’t have any excuse to beat down on you like that.”
His embrace tightened, looking down at Yomurai lovingly. “Even if you don’t like to use your power, you can still count on me if you need help with them ever again.”
Yomurai nodded slightly, still standing in his embrace. "Still, I thank you. I never had anyone that would stand up for me. I can stand up for myself, but with my power, I choose not to. I didn't want to get anyone involved or hurt anyone."
He waited there, staring into Jastinil's eyes, his own still demonic in nature and fangs showing. He knew he loved him, but would his parents understand?
Jastinil stroked Yomurai’s cheeks, kissing him tenderly. “It’s all understandable, love. I don’t mind standing up for you if you need me to, don’t worry so much about that.”
He shrouded him in a cascade of kisses, his desires starting to get the better of him. Still, he was going to take it slow so that Yomurai had a chance to stop him if he wanted to. He pulled at Yomurai’s belt, loosening it until it fell to the floor and gave him an opening to pull off his robes.
Yomurai stood there, blushing. His own desires showed his eyes. He was surprised at what Jastinil was doing, but as he was trained to do, he was letting him do as he pleased.
Nodding at Jastinil, understanding about him standing up for him, he closed his eyes, ready for what he had in store for him.

Jastinil grinned down at Yomurai, keeping him in an embrace as he circled around behind him. He kissed at his neck and cheeks, occasionally looking down to search for buttons on Yomurai’s shirt and pull them out of their holes. He slowly pulled off the shirt after the last button was out, still smiling down at him. Jastinil lifted Yomurai’s chin to look around at him, kissing him deeply as one hand ventured beneath the fabric of Yomurai’s pants and massaged his manhood.
Yomurai blushed, gasping as he rubbed his manhood, suddenly moaning as he covered his mouth. He was definitely surprised at Jastinil.
"Wha...what are you doing, Jas?" He questioned him, knowing it was his first time and that he was still a virgin.
Yomurai thought to himself, looking at Jastinil with the look of lust and desire in his eyes. This feels right, but why? He thought, kissing him lovingly as he continued. Should I tell him I'm a virgin and that I am only eighteen?
Jastinil used his free hand to finger at Yomurai’s lips, the other still arousing and caressing his cock. “Shh, just relax, love, and let me do all the work.”
He slowly lured Yomurai over to the bed, pulling his hand out and laying him down on the bed. He gazed down at him lovingly, pulling off Yomurai’s pants before climbing on top of him in bed. Jastinil kissed him a few times before pulling away again, looking at him eagerly. “I want to see you, love. Let me have a look.”
